On a deliberate path of awakening and change, I floated around the world wherever the universe guided me for seven months. Only moving on when I’d learned what each location had to teach me. The self-doubt and depression that accompanied me was too real.

While there are probably simpler, less expensive ways to make this journey, I recognize now how necessary these stages were to my healing. To deny our struggle is to deny our growth.
